"Love the rooms and the property grounds. Everything is clean however the indoor pool, which was the main reason for staying here was a huge disappointment full of unruly kids, not being watched by their parents. Honestly, I think some of them were sneaking in to use the facilities and not actually staying there, I do think management should find a way to oversee the indoor pool that way it’s enjoyable for everybody. "

"Overall the hotel is nice. However, it is showing it's age... particularly with some of the furniture in the rooms. The air conditioner in my room also sounded like it was on it's last leg. It was so loud, I had to turn it off. The walls in the adjoining rooms are paper thin. I was in an adjoining room (not with people I was traveling with) and you could hear their tv and them talking. Not ideal. However, the view was great."

"The room was dirty. I found weed on the floor and a dirty towel in a drawer. The staff was poorly trained and overflow parking was a block away. Not good at all!!!"

"The Hotel was very busy due to many events going on in Virginia Beach. At first I was mistakenly sent to a room that was already occupied. This was quickly, politely and professionally rectified and I was given a different room which turned out to be more convenient for me. Directly across from elevators and on a level with parking where I could easily walk to my car. Having a mini-fridge and microwave is always a plus. The best feature for me, though was having that sweet little balcony facing the ocean. What a tremendous stress reliever! I hope to return to Sandcastle Resort and will recommend it to others. One little request, though: Could you please provide tea bags in the rooms and at the Continental Breakfast for those of us who do not drink coffee? Thank you!"
